The Danube River is one of the largest and most important rivers in Europe, flowing through 10 countries and serving as a source of livelihood for millions of people. The Danube River is not only a vital route for transporting goods but also supports a wide range of ecosystems and biodiversity. Unfortunately, the Danube River faces numerous environmental challenges, including pollution from industrial, agricultural, and urban sources. Pollution of the Danube River in Serbia is a particularly concerning issue, as it negatively affects not only the river but also the health and well-being of the communities that rely on it. By raising awareness of the impact of pollution on the Danube River, we can work on solutions that protect this vital natural resource for future generations.

About the Event
The Republic of Serbia faces numerous environmental challenges, including air and water pollution, deforestation, inadequate waste management, and many others. These challenges have a significant impact on the health and well-being of the population, as well as on the country’s natural resources and economy.
To address these challenges, it is necessary to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices in the public. However, many people do not have enough knowledge and access to accurate information and resources on current environmental issues.
In response to this need, the RCEL Discussion Forum was developed to provide a platform for sharing information, encouraging collaboration, and inspiring action towards a more sustainable future in Serbia. The forum aims to engage a wider audience and diverse community members, including students, professionals, and community members, through a series of informative and engaging events organized.
