WHAT WE DO

Policy

Support to decision makers in Western Balkans countries in the process of harmonising regulations with EU legislation

RCEL provides support in implementing and applying international conventions, protocols, and other internationally relevant sources in the fields of environmental and energy law.

In addition, we provide professional support in implementing internationally recognised standards of environmental enhancement and protection.

RCEL strives to cooperate with all membership-based nongovernmental organisations with the aim to jointly advocate for reform policies that are in the general interest and that are based on previously conducted expert analyses.

Icon
Policies are goal-oriented and planned actions by public authorities through directly tackling specific societal challenges with the aim of effecting desired change.

Throughout the environment and energy policy development process, the RCEL team provides services of developing legal analyses in a systematic and well-organised manner, overviewing and defining the state of play and the challenges, and subsequently proposing solutions to enhance positive law.

When developing legal analyses, the RCEL team is guided by the public interest theory (there are no private or any other specific interests, but we act through our knowledge and expertise exclusively in the public interest).
