The Regional Center for Environmental Law (RCEL) is pleased to invite you to the upcoming conference “Green Justice: Implementation of Horizontal Environmental Legislation,” which will take place on June 7, 2024, at Miljenko Dereta Space in Belgrade. The Green Justice conference is organised, with the support of the UNDP and the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, as a part of the EU Green Week. The Agenda with speakers is available here.
The aim of the conference is to enhance understanding and application of legislative frameworks in the field of environmental protection in Serbia. Through the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices with experts, the conference aims to strengthen the capacity of relevant stakeholders in the fight against environmental crime, improve judicial and administrative procedures in environmental protection, and promote collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve sustainable development goals in Serbia. Through concrete analysis and discussion of challenges and opportunities in the field of environmental protection, the conference aims to raise awareness and inspire decision-makers, legal experts, activists, and citizens to take concrete steps towards preserving natural resources and building a fairer society that respects human rights and the integrity of the environment in Serbia.
