Ilina Cenevska

Ilina Cenevska is a member of the Regional Council and an expert in environmental and energy law at the Regional Center for Environmental Law.

She is an associate professor at the Ss. Cyril and Metodius University Faculty of Law in Skopje.

She received her LLD at the Ghent University Faculty of Law in Belgium. The focal point of Ilina Cenevska’s expertise is on issues of environmental democracy, environmental rights and climate, environmental and energy justice. Ilina teaches in the field of EU institutional law, EU environmental law and EU free movement law.

She authored numerous papers in international professional periodicals and the monograph ‘European Atomic Energy Community in the European Union Context: the Outsider Within’ (Brill | Nijhoff) exploring, among others, the legal dimension of the environmental impact stemming from nuclear energy.

She runs the “Zelena inicijativa” (Green Initiative) blog together with her students.
